“The Sophia Project has a commitment to the St. Louis Region to provide resources and programs that support and promote mental well-being, self-care, and self-esteem among adolescent young women. Our new initiative Sophia Project Connects is community programming. You don’t have to formally enroll in our programs to be empowered”

Self Care Saturday
Designed with a focus on adolescent girls, this program is a sanctuary for exploring and mastering techniques to regulate anxiety and foster inner calmness. But it's more than just a set of activities; it's a journey towards nurturing holistic well-being. At Self-care Saturday, we instill a vital life lesson from an early stage – the importance of self-care. This goes hand in hand with physical health, an aspect we ardently believe in. By introducing practices like yoga, we empower these young women with tools that have the power to reduce harm and elevate resilience.
The beauty of Self-care Saturday extends beyond our participants. This event warmly opens its doors to members of our community, recognizing that wellness is a collective endeavor. Together, we create a nurturing environment where the pursuit of inner peace is not just a personal goal but a shared mission. Self-care Saturday is where self-discovery meets community support, shaping confident individuals who carry the torch of well-being into their future.
